Effective communication? listening?

The day started off with a rather fun lesson. It was SD(student development) proj with Jon Tan and the activities that we did was Simon says( which so reminds me of jac =P ) and the pass message thingy to see how the message turn out to be like at the end. Like usual, there bound to be somebody along the way that purposely twisted the message to make it hilarious. During the lesson, i was still telling jo that this lesson is kinda retarded and not needed cos we obviously wouldn't have any prob with communication. But i was soon so proved wrong by various incidents that's really funny.

Incident no. 1- gareth sitting beside jo who sat next to me( so its like 3 in a row thingy). Somebody in class kept mentioning about playing lan and i was like
me: nooooo.... i wanna play pooooool.....(whining dying tone)
gareth: what? you wanna play truant?
me: huh? BEACH ROAD?! (in my don't-be-ridiculous tone)

Hahaha..okay..can't really show its funniness here. But it was really hilarious that we three burst out laughing. Sigh. I'm really getting old that ppl can't make out my pronunciation? and i couldn't hear clearly even though there is only one person between us? and jo had to be our middle person to pass the right message of what was spoken. Tsk.

Incident no. 2- emily, me, jo walking in a row at town
me: wah...thay guy running in town. crazy
emily: i need to go home now
jo: ??? ( she couldn't catch what we both said cos we both spoke at the same time)

Incident no. 3- waiting for cab with jy outside jw church.
jy: (he said sth like waiting for cab here i think)
me: huh?
jy: (he repeated)
me: huh? (again)
jy: (he repeated again)
me: huh...orrrrrrr...orhz...

Hahah..so much for teaching us effective communication and listening huh. Everything was okay until today's lesson. But on the other hand, i think its my hearing...somebody..get me a hearing aides pls....

Anyway ya, something happened in school. The three of us decided to skip the ever boring chem lect to go to the lib to do our unfinished hw, we ended up playing and slacking and didn't really get any work done. But this is not the point. The main thing is, we got caught by Jon Tan at 9:40am. Apparently, he went to lect and realised that the three of us isn't there ( 2 out of 3 of us were wearing uniform somemore, how to not stand out from the rest of the pe shirts for the j1s?) and he asked gareth and yixuan who dunno where we went. That was 9:20am. So technically, he spent 20mins looking for us all over school and finally found us in the lib. But he is so good that he didn't report us and just ask us to complete our notes and see him after sch, he is going to test us. Oh man, this makes us feel so so so guilty. And the worst thing is that we could only answer 1 out of the 3 qns he asked us. Shit. Had a long long long chat with him before heading to town to find stuff for our econs proj.

Decided to go for the pm in church so made my way down and reached by 7:30pm. Met rolland, yanghong,mx and michelle. Pm was more for personal ministering before moving on to pray for the taiwan conference. Couldn't really get connected in again. Sigh. but at least i tried. Jy cabbed to sent me home first so i promptly reached home by 10:30pm. Thanks bro.
