Head down to Tampines and waited for my 2nd cousin and her family to come and pick me up before going over to Merchant Court Hotel to have high tea and celebrate big uncle's birthday for the first time in my entire life. Haha. How funny and sudden it is when he told us he wants to hold a celebration for his birthday this year and actually asked the whole big family out to the gathering. Anyway, the ambiance and the food there ain't too bad and the price is rather affordable and reasonable considering it's a hotel's high tea buffet. However, i so totally witness the ugly side of Singaporeans once again...that is..kiasuism! Sigh. Oh well, what can i say... Hmm.. Some examples? One aunty actually took the whole bunch of about 15 satays away just after the chef replenished it. Another aunty filled her plate to the fullest with about twenty plus durian cream puff at one go. A few other auntys and uncles actually couldnt decide the chinese desserts like the yam paste and bobo chacha and other stuff that they decided to put them all into one bowl. Haha. I dunno are they too lazy to take different bowls or to make a few more trips or they simply want to mix and create their own brand new desserts? And of course, stacking of a lot a lot of food on a plate. Haha. Wadeva. Ugly Singaporeans. Maybe there should be a competition on 'who can stack the most food on one plate' yea?
Oh i had a great time being the kids' nanny there today, looking after playing and all. Seriously it's a no joke job man! So tiring! I feel so old and energy-less. Haha. On the way back, i got to experience 2nd cousin's first time driving and what can i say? Not too bad, quite steady but haha i felt that the speed was too slow. Like typical man-assumed's typical female driver. Haha. But safety come first lar. Can increase the speed after she gets more familiarize with everything.
